Final Exam Notes

The final exam will be run by the same rules as the SME Fundamentals of Manufacturing certification exam that you will take in manf3000, Manufacturing Engineering

· You may use any handwritten notes that you bring.

· You may print out and bring anything you want EXCEPT previous quizzes or exams of any type.  I will be checking your notes before the exam starts.

· It is an open book exam

· The only thing allowed on your computer screen is the BB exam itself.  You may not ever move off of this window.  As in the certification exam I will be acting as a proctor to enforce the rules.

· You may use a second computer if you have a .pdf of your book. If you choose this option, then the ONLY thing permitted on the second computer (or tablet) is the book. You do not have access to any software for the exam.

· Studying the previous quizzes is probably the best preparation.  Just DO NOT print them out.

· There are typically 15-20 questions on the exam, at least a dozen of which are calculated numeric type. Please be sure to answer to the precision required, and do not include the units in your solutions. All these type of questions are very similar to those you have seen in previous quizzes.
