Quality Engineering Report-I Statistical Process Control for Variable Data

Download the N-5_N-7-start.xls problem. The file is in the manf3000/labs folder on the Manufacturing network drive. Complete the steps required and submit a set of process control charts for the case study. Some tips for the report:

· This laboratory is designed to be a “programmed learning experience”. It works best if the steps are completed in the order presented, and careful consideration for your answers is taken. Don’t rush it. Simply answer the questions.

· Be sure to use the exact same size charts, x-axis cell interval, and y-axis scale when submitting graphs for comparison.

· The document posted to your web site should be readable, with sufficient explanation of the graphs to convince the knowledgeable reader that you understand SPC.

· The total document will be about 3 pages in length, and be mostly filled with the appropriate graphs.

· Please be sure you demonstrate your understanding of process capability, the differences between grouped data and data taken over time, and the advantages of each.

· Save the file as both .htm to be displayed on your web site, and as a neat, professional looking .doc or .pdf document that can be downloaded and printed.
